Out of a host of Newcastle United players sent to Ibrox on loan earlier in the season, attacking midfielder Vuckic has been the standout performer for the fallen giants.
With his future at St James' Park looking uncertain, Vuckic was linked with Nottingham Forest at the start of the summer and defeat by Motherwell over two legs in a relegation/promotion play-off is likely to be his last action in Scotland.
One of the star men for Motherwell in both games was 22-year-old central defender Louis Laing, on loan to the Steelmen from Forest after moving to the City Ground last summer.
He is out of contract shortly and hinted before the Rangers game that Motherwell staying in the Scottish Premiership could see him stay on at Fir Park next season.
