While the Reds retain hopes of making the play-offs, Dougie Freedman's men can travel in relaxed mood knowing that the pressure to finish in the top-six at least is all on their opponents.
Norwich manager Alex Neil still harbours hopes of automatic promotion but knows that draws against Derby County and Huddersfield Town have damaged those ambitions.
"The bottom line is you get what you deserve in football,” said the former Hamilton Academical boss, whose impact in Norfolk has been as dramatic as fellow countryman Freedman's at the City Ground.
"I firmly believe that, in terms of what you do on the pitch. If you are good enough, you win, so on that basis in these last two games we haven’t won the matches. That is simple.
"I don’t want to get into the habit that we were unlucky, we deserved this and we deserved that."
Substitutes Wes Hoolahan and Jamar Loza both made an impact at Huddersfield after coming off the bench and may tempt Neil into making changes for Forest's visit.
