Nottingham Forest v Blackpool - Preview

Last updated : 11 May 2010 By DSG

The Seasiders defeated Forest 2-1 at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, but will be wary about their hosts' impressive home form.

Forest are unbeaten in 20 games at the City Ground and have gone 12 hours without conceding a goal, although Blackpool were victorious in the corresponding league fixture in September, thanks to a Charlie Adam strike.

Blackpool have won every meeting between the sides this season, with Adam having scored in each one, netting from the penalty spot on Saturday, after Keith Southern had equalised Chris Cohen's earlier effort.

Blackpool have no new injury concerns and are expected to name an unchanged side as they bid to reach the top-flight for the first time since 1971.

Nottingham Forest are expected to recall Robert Earnshaw to the first-team, whilst Guy Moussi is back in the squad after missing the first leg with a groin problem.

The Reds are bidding to end their 11-year exile from the Premier League, but will have to over-turn this one goal deficit. Away goals do not count in the play-offs, so both teams will need to win outright on aggregate, or the game will go to penalties.
