Now battling against relegation with Bristol City, O'Driscoll sees his new side take on the Reds at Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon.
He told BBC Points West that he would not be making special preparations for this fixture, saying: "It's a game we know is going to be difficult, as every game in the Championship is.
"If we make this any different than what it is, my argument will be why aren't we doing this for every game?"
O'Driscoll's successor Alex McLeish has already left the City Ground leaving the path clear for Billy Davies to make what fans hope will be a triumphant return to the club.
His 'second coming' does not begin until Monday however.
