The League One club were quick to snap up the midfielder after his release by Nottingham Forest recently.
Assistant manager (and ex-City Ground defender) Ian Butterworth told the Hartlepool Mail: ''He is a good competitive player and I think he will be a good addition to the squad.''
''He has got that hunger as well which is what you want to see in a young player.
"I don't think he will have any problems making the jump up to the first team.''
