Lynch will line up against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on the opening day of the season after an impressive pre-season.
Robins, who feels the player has the potential to be one of the Championship's best, told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner: "He can cope in the air, he can cope on the deck, he has a good touch, a decent pass and he’s a threat at set pieces."
Hoping to line up in the heart of the Forest defence is new signing Jack Hobbs but he knows that there is plenty of competition for places in Billy Davies' side.
"You want one or two players competing for every position and, if you are not in the side, you always want to be pushing for a start," he told the Nottingham Evening Post.
