"He is a quality striker, he has a quality work ethic," said manager Colin Calderwood.
"We have looked at him for a while, all through the season to a degree if we are honest.
"With Will Hoskins currently sidelined, Brett will give us some strength and depth, not just in the team bit on the bench as well."
