The postponement of Saturday's game against Bristol City gives the Arsenal man an extra week to boost his match fitness ahead of the trip to Scunthorpe.
Ramsey made an eye-catching start to his time in a Forest shirt with a cameo performance against Leicester and boss Billy Davies will look to his deadline signing to inject some much-needed consistency into the Reds.
"Ramsey is a top class player, you can see that in training, although he is a yard away from match fitness," Davies told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"He has an exceptional amount of talent, which is why we brought him here.
"But he needs fitness. That little bit of extra time will be useful to work on things like that."
