Seemingly dead and buried at the bottom of the Championship, Tuesday night's win against Leeds coupled with defeats for the Reds and Doncaster have breathed new life into Andy Thorn's men.
The arrival of loan signings Oliver Norwood and Alex Nimely from Manchester United and City respectively have added to Thorn's options with Nimely, a pacy striker who won two penalties in the Leeds game with direct running at the visitors' defence, impressing in particular.
Forest, who appear to be the very opposite of upbeat both on and off the field, can at least take some small consolation from the Sky Blues away record which is the worst in the four divisions with no wins and just three draws from fifteen games.
