Huddersfield have signed Nottingham Forest forward Joe Garner on a six-month loan deal.
The 22-year-old will remain at the Galpharm Stadium until the transfer window reopens in January, and Terriers boss Lee Clark admitted the player has been on his radar for some time.
"We're always on the lookout for young, talented footballers and Joe fits that remit perfectly," Clark told Huddersfield's official website.
"He's a very talented footballer and we've chased him for a long time. Forest still think he has a future with them, so we have settled on a window to window loan. We will see what happens from there.
"All of our strikers have different assets and for his size, Joe is very good in the air. He also has a good touch and good awareness, as well an excellent goalscoring record at this level."
Garner is a former England Under-19 international who came through the ranks at Blackburn and enjoyed a successful spell in League One at Carlisle, before joining Forest for £1.14million in summer 2008.
