After being lured away from Coventry City at the start of the year, Mark Robins saw his new side only just achieve safety in a crowded bottom-half of the Championship before being able to turn his attentions to summer signings.
Striker James Vaughan was secured early on after an impressive loan spell with the club and he has been joined in attack by Martin Paterson for what manager Robins hopes will be a partnership that can spark a play-off bid.
"The start to the season is a tough one for us with Forest and QPR either side of the Capital One Cup game against Bradford, but it’s an exciting start and we will be ready," Paterson told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner ahead of a friendly game against Real Betis this week.
