The 1-1 draw at Crewe on Saturday kept the Reds firmly in the bottom three and anxiously awaiting tonight's results before the trip to Coventry tomorrow.
Yet again Megson felt his side should have won the game at the weekend but said: "Draws are not going to make a great deal of difference to us. We have got to start winning games.
"We cannot do anything about other people's results. We have got to get our own right first.
"We are drawing an awful lot of games and, aside from Wigan, I cannot think of a game we have drawn and been pleased to have drawn it.
"We keep chucking away opportunities to get the wins we need. Against Leeds we missed a penalty and at Brighton and Rotherham we missed sitters."
