They meet at Ewood Park on Monday night, a second succesive live television appearance for Forest after Friday's 1-1 draw at Wolves.
On the same evening, Blackburn edged past Rotherham United thanks to an own goal.
Both sides are in the top-half of the 10-game form table and Blackburn have not lost in six matches, Forest only once.
Goals have been at a premium in Rovers' home matches this season, 10 league games at Ewood Park producing 18 goals in total.
Speaking after Friday's victory, manager Paul Lambert said: "All credit to our team. If you can't play as well as you normally play and you see a game through, it's a great trait to have."
