Midfielder James McArthur believes that Wigan Athletic are close to hitting form in the Championship after their first two home games ended in 2-2 draws.
Ahead of a big clash with table-topping Nottingham Forest this weekend, he told the Latics' official website: "I think we’re really close to being a very good side and getting more positive results and that’s the aim going into Saturday’s game."
As the Reds continue to be linked with players ahead of the transfer deadline, Forest's Under-21's eased past Birmingham on Friday night with a man who may be surplus to requirements after a busy summer of signings, Marcus Tudgay, on the scoresheet.
***Update***Forest have made 11 changes from Wednesday night's League Cup victory over Millwall as boss Billy Davies again shows the depth of options available to him.
