Despite Saturday's late FA Cup defeat at the hands of Watford, Dougie Freedman and Nottingham Forest enter February with confidence after their lengthy, unbeaten run in the Championship.
A slow progression up the table has been built on a solid defensive foundation and Freedman is keen to add another attacking option to his squad if possible.
The Scot has space to add to his ranks, within the restrictions placed on him by Financial Fair Play, and, after some success in the European transfer market is again set to look abroad.
The Nottingham Post suggests that two strikers from foreign clubs are the top targets but that a deal for either could go to the wire.
