Back-to-back wins, away to Charlton and then a 4-1 hammering of Bolton Wanderers, have turned fortunes around in West Yorkshire with loan signings Mustapha Carayol (Middlesbrough) and Emyr Huws (Wigan Athletic) both having played their part to the full since arriving at the John Smith's Stadium.
And former Forest striker Ishmael Miller came in for praise from manager Chris Powell after his display against Bolton at the weekend.
Quoted in the Huddersfield Examiner, Powell said: “I wouldn’t like to be a centre-back playing against him in that mood. He was a real focal point for us and I just wish he had got a goal.”
Another former Red who did get on the scoresheet on Saturday was defender Joel Lynch while on-loan Forest winger Jamie Paterson featured as a late substitute.
New signings have also lifted the mood at the City Ground despite an unlucky defeat at the hands of promotion favourites MIddlesbrough on Saturday and Dougie Freedman's side go in search of a third consecutive victory on the road on an unusual night of the week!
