Dougie Freedman’s side have sparked their season into life with consecutive home victories against Reading and Fulham, not only by taking three points from each game but also by scoring three goals in each to warm the hearts of the City Ground faithful.
Both Reading (56%) and Fulham (57%) enjoyed plenty of the play in those fixtures but struggled to break down a well-organised Nottingham Forest side and were then hit on the counter attack or by some good set-piece delivery.
That template is unlikely to change at Molineux against a Wolves side who currently lie one place and one point above the Reds in the Championship table.
They are unbeaten in four matches, although three of those have been draws and their last two games at home have both ended goalless
Manager Kenny Jackett changed his striking options around for the win at Rotherham United on Saturday, Adam Le Fondre starting against his former club in place of Benik Afobe.
Jackett told the official WWFC website: "I was pleased with Adam, with his work rate, with his energy.
"He’s a hard-working player, committed, and if we get our game right and our balls right he’s very good down the sides and hard to mark."
