Former Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest and Glasgow Rangers keeper Chris Woods, Arsenal duo Nigel Winterburn and Ray Parlour, are the latest additions to Peter Reid's 16-man England Legends squad that will face The Germany Legends at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane on Thursday August 7th, live on ITV4.

In a game being played to aid The British Red Cross China Earthquake Appeal, the new trio join an England Legends squad which already includes former Manchester United duo Bryan Robson and Lee Sharpe, Liverpool pair Stan Collymore and John Barnes, Arsenal's Paul Merson, Sheffield Wednesday's Des Walker and Sheffield United's Brian Deane.

A formidable-looking Germany XVI includes 1990 World Cup Winner Guido Buchwald, 1986 World Cup final midfielder Matthias Herget, 2002 World Cup final defenders Carsten Ramelow and Marko Rehmer, Premiership trio Steffen Freund, Fredi Bobic and Christian Ziege, former Bayern Munich defender Thomas Helmer, striker Olaf Marschall and midfielder Norbert Meier.

Reid commented: "The Germany squad already looks extremely strong and I know that they are talking to the likes of Riedle, Kohler and Matthaus so to have three players who can cover space, are organised and will protect us is crucial. Parlour was brilliant against Scotland when we beat them in May while the clean sheet tells you everything you need to know about Woods and Winterburn's contribution. With just a fortnight to go until kick off, the countdown is on. I can't wait."

The Legends: England v Germany will play for The Derek Dooley Memorial Cup in tribute to the Sheffield Legend, celebrated as the only man to unite the red and blue halves of the Steel City football communities.

England will be out for revenge against the Germany Legends at Bramall Lane. The two met at Reading in 2006, Germany running out 4-2 winners. However, this is the first time such a match has been staged between the two groups featuring former international footballers only, absent of celebrities.

Tickets for England v Germany: The Legends Live are £10 for adults (over 16) and £5 for OAPs. The Legends have recently introduced a 'Kid-A-Quid' offer which can be booked through the Bramall Lane Box Office on 0871 222 1889. Nationally, tickets are available from www.seetickets.com. Family tickets, which admit two adults and two children are £25, hospitality packages available for £45 per person.
